School Hols

After a hectic familly reunion weekend in Suffolk, most enjoyable, my Granddaughter, Gabriella, came to stay for a couple of days bring her new sewing machine, she wanted some practice so guided her to make a Linus quilt, she did very well, well done Gaby

Parkland Patchers

This morning, Wednesday, I have been to Parkland Patchers, a small Quilting Group which I belong to, small it maybe but it is a great group, several ladies doing quilts for Linus, others sewing and knitting and generally chatting and is also great if you want to layer up a quilt as there are plenty of tables and plenty of room. Anyone interested in joining this group we meet at Parklands Community Centre every other Wednesday morning from 10am to 12pm. We are a very friendly group and if any member has a query there is always someone can help and we have coffee and biscuits, no membership fee just pay £2 on the day for that day.

Grab Bag

Here I am still making bags, this one called a Grab Bag is really quick to make and so I cannot put much on the blog today as I want to make more for presents. Anyone wanting the pattern go to  allpeoplequilt.com

2nd attempt at pics

Absent

Have had a real good telling off from a certain local blogger because it appears I have done nothing in the last 4 months. What I have done is deleted photos from my camera after loading them on my Ipad only to find I cannot upload from them to my blog. I really feel I am getting to old for all this technology and as for handwriting, whats that!!!!  Anyway I have been busy and have made several things. single quilt. 2 bags. 2 cushions, nearly finished another quilt top and a Xmas calendar as well as looking after the invalid indoors who has now had his knee replacement and is doing well and we have just come back from Rhodes which was a superb holiday if a little hot like 42deg. Must go now as have to do some sewing, hope can upload some pics

Good News and Bad News

This week have had a good week in my room , amongst other things I made a small bag and another cushion for the conservatory and made Easter cupcakes today for when the family came round. Bad news is I was trying to make some space on my computor and between me and him indoors ( blind leading the blind) we have deleted everything, all my patterns, pictures everything on my favourites so am having to start again, sometimes I think if we had a brain between us we would be dangerous but there you go we are after all "Silver Surfers"
